To make steady income from home on the internet is becoming an excellent way to call your own shots and not be subject to a boss who may not have your interests in mind.

The question comes into play about how people are going to see what you have to offer on the internet (traffic generation). That subject is huge and I've written in the past on many of the ways one can market their product or service.

Here I'd like to discuss the importance of writing articles as a means of indirectly marketing your website, so that people will eventually visit and be impressed enough with your website and offer to do business with you.

Why write articles?

· Since we know that people do business with other people they like and trust, when you write articles you are in essence showing your public that you know what you are talking about and are willing to help them with good information. Article writing becomes an important way for people come to like and trust you.

· Also and just as important is the advantage you get for them to visit your website. Of course when you write you are not writing to sell them on your specific business, but you do have an opportunity to leave your link to your website in the resource box in the article. Therefore, if they are impressed they may just wish to look at your website URL and see what you specifically have to offer. If it will provide value to them they may buy what you have.

· Another benefit to article writing in search engine popularity. If you've used your keywords properly, the search engines have another source and link to your website URL and it may possibly help for your article to get indexed higher up in the search engines. This is very import, because search engines have a lot of traffic and the closer to the top of the listings you are the more exposure you and your business will have.

Some mentors will tell you that writing an article is easy, and to an extent it is. But keeping in mind that you are indirectly trying to market people into liking and trusting you, then it behooves you to research and find out how to write an article correctly, so that you draw them to you and not drive them away.

Just in case you didn't know. While there are other places to submit your articles, like a Blog, for example, it is advantageous to submit your articles to an e-zine directory that can in turn distribute your article to various other places. Doing so can help get you a lot of exposure.

Following e-zine publisher guidelines is very important. Often directories teach you how to write an article, if you don't already know how.

Writing articles is very important to your marketing and traffic generation plan. However, it is only one of many ways to market and you should continue with your marketing research so that you can have a widespread marketing campaign to make steady money online.

The evidence is widespread that you can make money online if you do a lot of things but one thing that will end all of your success is to mess up in your customer relations. Always treat your people well, and if you've applied honest effort to your business they will learn to know like and trust you.

People buy from others they know, like and trust

I just wanted to thank Damian Benko at the turnkey marketing group for the excellent telephone seminar last night 6-5-2009 covering the part that Social Networking plays in our efforts to make money online. James Holmes presented and really gave us usefull information that any of us could go out and implement today.

In my efforts to make money online with my Berry Tree Nutronix business opportunity I learned something very basic to social networking from this seminar. You do social networking just like you do going to a cocktail party - don't try and sell anything at first. Just to get to know people so they can have a chance to know like and trust you, then if the opportunity arises, interest them in what you have to offer. You do this because people buy from people they know, like and trust.

Showing up for excellent money making opportunity

You can never change yesterday, you can only learn from it. There is so much opportunity out there on the internet for you to succeed and make money online, that I wonder why more of us aren't successful at it. Learn from the past and realize that success is there waiting for you and you just need to show up otherwise you'll never succeed at online marketing or any other venture.

Now, is just showing up going to bring you success? Absolutely not but by showing up to the party you are expressing your interest in trying and that trying should translate into taking the steps necessary to show others who can help you that you are there and waiting for their assistance.

When I've found, and join, a good opportunity, I make it a point to contact all the people involved and that sets off a synergy that will bring me success. If there are no people to contact then you shouldn't be involved. You may be a guru and can do it alone but the rest of us need help from others. Showing up and contacting others starts the ball rolling to your success - after all this is a people business.

Good Deeds To Succeed Online

I've found it doesn't need to be a big deed it just needs to be doing something to be helpful and not to land a sale or a new member. In my various online businesses and particularly in the Berry Tree/Nutronix Automated system mentors always recommend that we are not sales people we are simply tour givers. When I personally look at a tour guide I relate it to a customer services representative. You'll notice that a customer services representative or a tour guide don't attempt to sell anything, they simply do deeds for people like give them more information or to give them details about the information they've alread seen.

In the kind of business I am in, network marketing, doing a good deed is to give information to people without telling them how good the opportunity is and let them, all by themselves determine, for themselves, if this opportunity is for them.

In the Berry Tree/Nutronix as in other legitimate programs, there are websites that actually do the telling and selling of the opportunity and it is therefore easy for business builders to jump into the role as a tour giver - doing deeds for people.

Sales will come or they won't but trying to sell somebody will surely do more harm than good in todays society.

Are Customers' Memories Of You Positive?

Here is a great comment from Rickie Lee Jones that makes a great deal of sense when you are in business and attempting to provide what is necessary to prospects and customers so that you can be successful at making money online.

So what does that have to do with business? Most business success is not a one time shot so it therefore becomes necessary, if we want to maintain our good standing in the online community, to always provide upstanding service so that others will have a memory of us that is positive.

You never know when future sales will be based upon a memory someone has about a past event.

We try in our online business, although I'm not always successful, to provide memories of us that is positive and full of integrity because even if someone doesn't want to do business with us right now perhaps they will in the future because of their positive memory of us.
