Interesting Tidbit

My last post mentioned how my son was sick and he's over it now. But low and behold I had to go to the doctor for myself and found out that I have the Influenza A. Did you know that the flu shots we all took recently (assuming that you took one) were only about 40% effective in helping to prevent the flu?

I though it was interesting to find out why, as explained by my doctor. When the medical profession puts out a flu vaccine it is based upon the previous years flu. It is intended then that when the next flu virus hits that the vaccine based on the last flu virus will fight the new virus. But the flu mutated (changed) this time around so the vaccine didn't help as much as it should have.

But my doctor said that it at least helped me and whoever else took the flu shot, by saving about 40% of the efects of the virus. So it wasn't worthless to have taken it. Boy it sure didn't feel like it helped me 40%, and you know what I mean if you've had the flu and know how it feels

Another interesting thing I learned was this: I always thought that when you get a virus like the flu that you simply had to get over it by resting etc. and that you could take a pill to fight it. We'll I was wrong because they now have medicine that can help heal one from the flu virus.

I'm not intending to sound like I know a lot about this stuff, because I do not, and I know this doesn't have anything to do with business or success like I usually write about, but when my doctor told me about it I thought it interesting. Perhaps it's interesting to you as well, if you didn't already know it.

Do It Now and Don't Procrastinate!

My five year old, Jason, has been sick the last week and finally I got it. Of course we all get sick so I'm taking my turn but this time I'll have to say it's a doozy.

Since I work at home I have the chance to take care of my son when my wife is out. When he does those child things like crying over what seemingly is nothing, I think of how glad I am to be home to show kindnesses to him.

You can use some of thefollowing words about procrastination with anything in life that you wish to succeed at. Being that I write on Home Business you can use it for that as well.

Wish I didn't procrastinate with friends or anything else as for that matter, why do I procrastinate? I'll likely not ever find the answer, but I can try to eliminate it, even though I don't always know why I do it.

It's Not How Much But How That Will Make Money Online

Had a persona ask me a question about my business at Passport to Wealth the other day that prompts me to clarify what I mean about doing your research befor joining a make money from home online business.

His questions were, how long did it take you to make money and how much do you make. While I think they are good questions I do feel that they are not the important questions. I think that in peoples zest to do their due diligence they miss the important points.

Before telling you the important points let me tell why how much somebody makes and how long it took to make money are not decision maker points. Marketing is the key to success and everybody has a different learning curve. And because somebody isn't makeing money doesn't address the important questions.

The most important questions are; How will I be mentored in the art of marketing online? What will that mentoring look like? How often will I have a learning session? How effective has the sponsor been who is the mentoring team's lead?

Hopefully you can concentrate on these issues to find yourself a home based business in which YOU can be successful.

Model Successful People To Make Money From Home

If it's allright with you I'd like to make a suggestion about a subject I've written articles about and with the intent to help you make money from home.

I have learned that the biggest source of failure to make money online whether it be in my Passport to Wealth business or any other honest and successful business structure is due to the lack of effective and truthful guidance. In the Online Marketing business guidance is reflected in mentoring

Several online businesses have very successful members who will provide excellent mentoring once you join their program.

With the goal in mind to find a mentor, insure that you talk to your potential sponsor in a business you are considering and get the feel for their responsiveness and find out if they can hook you up with a team of mentors or can mentor you themself.

It's not necessary that your sponsor be an expert and be wildly successful as long as they are associated with someone or even a team that is successful and expert and will include you in their mentoring.

Help Others To Make Money From Home

I read the following poem by an unknown author and was struck by the simplicity of feeling well inside and gaining success in life in general and in your online business spcifically. Very simply, whatever you're up to in life, give of yourself, of your substance or your pesonality, of your thougts, of your money if you can, of your help and assistance.

By giving, you eliminate stagnation and the world opens up to you even if just by a little bit each time you give. It's just as true in your online business life as it is in your personal life to have the attitude of providing oppotuinties for yor potential customers, instead of always thinking about how much you can accumulate. By having the attitude of providing for your prospects and helping them succeed, it will naturally come back to you in being successful in making money from home.

Smart to have goals, smart to think positive, smart to sef talk yourself into knowing you can do something, but if you still slefishly stagnate then all else seems to stall.

Every time I think about my happiness and success I am astounded at how important ones attitude is and how it needs to be worked on daily with thoughs similar to my comments about stagnation. I try to apply these princples in my home based business at Passport to Wealth and find when I do all of the work I do to succeed seems to go smoother.

Online Business Or Employment? No Contest

I was just thinking this morning about my former position at my daytime job and how I ended up leaving to join the Online Marketing ranks. I spent years and years loving that job and defining myself based upon that career. I didn't notice as time went on that I loved the job a lot more than the job loved me. That is simply to say that no matter how I asked it I couldn't get any advice from my superior about why things weren't going the direction I wanted them to go.

While I was still making a great income, I made the decision that life is too short for grown ups who know better to continue to repress and treat like a second class citizen. I think it's amazing how you can put yourself on the line for people and they end up kicking you in the face.

There is no need for this to happen. I was in a position that I counseled people against these kinds of things happening to them and lo and behold the same thing happened to me. I quit my outwardly excellent position in response to it all.

I wish it would have happened earlier. I wish I would have understood that there are alternatives. When you see things aren't going the right direction one should make choices for themselves and not stay loyal to people who are treating you poorly. By the way, I would never suggest that you in turn treat them back in a poor manner, simply research ond move on.

The online world to make money from home has changed everything as I now have my self respect back and don't have anybody disrespectfully breathing down my back. Anybody in who finds themself in a position where obvious disrespect is there, can and should seek out, by good honest research, a home based business, because more than not the hard work they put in will come back as a great reward rather than a kick in the face one can get from pompous employment figures.

I've written before about how important it is for them to research an online opportunity before they join. I did this research and found Passport to Wealth. There are excellent opportunities out there. Remember that who you join with (the people) is as important as the organization you join. Should you join an online opportunity that has excellent help training and support then the sky is the limit on your success.
